BRANNEMAN, Wayne - Putnam

Wayne R. Branneman, 67, Cloverdale, died in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis this morning after 2 ½ years of poor health.  A Putnam County native, he was born March 20, 1913 to Oren R. and Bonnie Rule Branneman.  Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Jean Harcourt; a son, Daryl Branneman of Cloverdale RR 2 and two grandsons.  Mr. Branneman lived all his life in the Cloverdale area and was an auctioneer and realtor, well known in the western part of the county.  He was a member of the Church of Christ of Cloverdale, the F&AM 132 and Scottish Rite at Terre Haute. The 1930 graduate of Cloverdale HS had served on the school board for 10 ½ years and was its president several terms. He was past president and member of the Putnam County Board of Realtors, past president of Lions Club and president of the cemetery board. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale.  Don Lottis will conduct the funeral and burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m.  The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to the heart fund. – kbz
